In addition to the mission challenge, students participated in daily "STEMinars," interactive workshops designed to expand their knowledge and refine their technical and collaborative skills. These sessions featured hands-on activities, real-world problem-solving scenarios, and mentorship from STEM professionals and educators. Topics ranged from sustainable technologies and advanced robotics to effective communication strategies in crisis scenarios.

The STEMposium's success was built on the dedication of DODEA teachers and staff, who not only guided students through the week but also inspired them to embrace creativity, leadership, and resilience. Teachers provided mentorship, shared their passion for STEM education, and encouraged students to think critically and take calculated risks.

By the end of the week, students walked away with more than just newfound knowledge—they gained confidence, connections with peers across DODEA-Europe, and a deeper understanding of how STEM can be applied to solve global challenges. This annual event continues to serve as a cornerstone of DODEA-Europe’s commitment to fostering the next generation of engineers, scientists, and problem-solvers.

Students in Mr. McMurray's STUDIO ART classes are learning the formal way to draw the human figure as well as the skeletal system.

It's fun work, while also leading to a better understanding of the human body for medical students, athletes and even a few budding artists.

We would love your support! We are in need of volunteer life models for our live-POSE drawing sessions Tuesdays and wednesdays from 9:30-10:45. Parents, kids, retirees, people in uniform. Volunteers will be rewarded with experiencing learning and art with some of the most talented students on earth!

Reach out to Mr McMurray or the WHS front office to express your interest!
