Wiesbaden High School Warrior Battalion Leads Community Homecoming Parade
The Wiesbaden High School Warrior Battalion showcased their leadership during the Wiesbaden Garrison’s annual homecoming parade on Sept. 26, 2024.
The battalion played a prominent role in the parade. A five-cadet color guard led the procession, followed by a column of more than 160 cadets, as they marched through Clay Kaserne, representing both the school and the broader military-connected community.
Throughout the parade, the Warrior Battalion’s cadets demonstrated discipline and teamwork, embodying the core values taught within their JROTC program. Their participation highlighted their commitment not only to their school but also to the Wiesbaden Garrison, which they regularly support through volunteer efforts and public events.
“The Warrior Battalion’s involvement with the homecoming parade helped show the Wiesbaden community the sophistication of our cadets and encouraged more people in our community to be better citizens,” said Cadet Cydnee Lassiter, the battalion’s operations and training officer.
“It’s an honor to be part of something that unites both our school and the garrison.”
The parade drew hundreds of spectators from the local military and civilian population, many of whom lined the streets to show support for the cadets. The event not only celebrated homecoming but also highlighted the deep connection between Wiesbaden High School and the military community it serves.
The Warrior Battalion continues to be an integral part of the homecoming celebration, demonstrating the significance of JROTC programs in fostering leadership, discipline, and a sense of civic responsibility among military-connected students.
