Lauren Tobias
Biography
Dr. Louis D’Angelo, DoDEA Europe Central District Superintendent, is pleased to announce the selection of Ms. Lauren Tobias as the new Principal for Wiesbaden High School.
As a current member of the DoDEA Europe Central team Mrs. Tobias has been the principal at Wiesbaden Middle school for the last three and a half years. Â Prior to joining the Wiesbaden community, Mrs. Tobias was an assistant principal at Ramstein High School for two years and was previously the Assessment and Accountability ISS for the Europe East district.
Ms. Tobias grew up in Florida, where she studied at the Florida State University earning a B.S. in Secondary English Education and later a MLIS in School Library Science. Mrs. Tobias earned her educational leadership credential from the University of New England in Portland, Maine.Â
Formally a secondary English teacher and reading coach in Pinellas County, Florida, Mrs. Tobias joined DoDEA as an Information Specialist at Ramstein Intermediate School. In 2013, she became a member of the Pacific Area Office team on the island of Okinawa as the Instructional Systems Specialist for Information Centers, where she supported information centers across the Pacific region. Prior to returning to Germany, Mrs. Tobias was the assistant principal at Stearley Heights Elementary School on Kadena Air Base.
Mrs. Tobias is excited to be joining the Wiesbaden High School team. She is committed to fostering collaboration and communication as key tools to maintaining high-quality 21st Century learning environments. At Wiesbaden High School, Mrs. Tobias looks forward to continuing the important work of preparing students to succeed in a dynamic world.
