Warrior Battalion Field Day 2026

Recently, the Warrior Battalion hosted its first-ever Field Day, featuring intense athletic competitions among companies. The full-day event included a grilled lunch. Ultimate Frisbee took center stage as the event’s defining tradition. The competitive spirit ran high as cadets executed the 23-drill command sequence, which included 23 stationary and marching movements. Other activities included Ring Toss, the 4x1 Relay, Dodgeball, Castleball, the 3-Legged Race, and Tug-of-War, with the day ending with a game of Knockout. A company winner was announced at the end of the school day.

Prior to the event, company leadership was tasked with dividing cadets into the various challenges to ensure full battalion participation. Practices were limited to the 23 Drill Competition group, who would take time out of PT to improve their skills. Leadership assigned specific colored T-shirts to each company to distinguish them from one another: Alpha wore green, Bravo wore blue, and Charlie wore pink. A separate subsection of t-shirt colors in yellow was assigned to the cadet staff who were helping to maintain the game equipment and supervise the participating cadets. Similar to a traditional track meet, the field day took place on the Wiesbaden High School football field, with bystanding cadets cheering from the stands. 

When asked about how Field Day strengthened the entire battalion regardless of which company took the win, Cadet Staff Sergeant Langley notes that the event expanded social circles. “The field day has given the cadets the ability to further learn good sportsmanship, teamwork, and build connections with their classmates that they would otherwise not talk to,” Langley stated. 

Following the massive success of this event, the Warrior Battalion plans to make this an annual tradition. Next year, leadership hopes to host an even bigger competition, sticking with the designated colors to continue showcasing the battalion's pride, unity, and teamwork.
